Construction of reinforced concrete ground beams, transformer bunds, and electrical equipment bases to 2 transformer halls and a control building, at the St Fergus Substation near Peterhead for clients Global Infrastructure.

The replacement substation works for SSEN are necessary due to the aging infrastructure currently in place at the site. The new transformer equipment will be housed inside buildings to protect it from the effects of corrosion caused by the proximity to the North Sea.

Our client had requested an accelerated programme, we have constructed foundations for the 2 transformer halls which house the transformer bunds and equipment foundations in 8 weeks – 2 weeks ahead of the initial programme.
