Urchany Water Tank, Nairn

Murform carried out the formwork, steel fixing and concrete placement for the 45-metre-long, 27-metre-wide reinforced concrete water tank at Urchany which features a twin cell design that enables cleaning and maintenance to be carried out more easily and with less disruption. The new storage tank will supply around 12,000 customers with water.

The project for clients Global Infrastructure features an upgrade of the drinking water storage facilities for Nairn and Auldearn in Scotland. Two former service reservoirs at Urchany and Raitloan were replaced by a new and improved reinforced concrete reservoir situated at Urchany.
