Llwyn Onn Reservoir & Pumping Station

The team at Llwyn Onn Service Reservoir & Pumping Station near Wrexham in Wales has successfully constructed new water treatment works to replace the outdated ones built during the 2nd World War.

Farrans Construction contracted Murform to construct two substantial reinforced concrete tanks on behalf of their main client Dee Valley Water. Each tank holds approximately 12 million litres of water. In the initial phase of the project, we completed the construction of a 74-meter-long, 32-meter-wide, and 6-meter-high tank. Subsequently, we finished another tank of similar proportions in a later phase. Additionally, we completed the construction of a new modern pumping station at Llwyn Onn during this period.

Replacing the existing reservoir and associated infrastructure at Llwyn Onn will ensure safe clean drinking water for the residents of Wrexham and surrounding areas for generations to come.
