Bexley College, London

A new three-storey, in situ concrete frame building for Bexley College and clients Harrington Builders providing administration and teaching space.  This contemporary structure houses state-of-the-art facilities, including an inviting atrium for events and exhibitions, a Learning Resource Centre, offices, common rooms, and convenient parking amenities with space for 60 cars and designated cycle parking.

The construction, undertaken by Murform, involved the completion of the substructure, encompassing pile caps, ground beam foundations, lift shaft bases, walls, upstands, and a durable concrete ground floor slab. The superstructure showcases an in-situ concrete design, featuring walls, columns, suspended concrete slabs, and concrete stairwells. The expansive floor area spans approximately 6900m², distributed across the ground, first, and second-floor levels.

This innovative Bexley college building seamlessly blends modern architecture with functional spaces, creating an environment conducive to learning, collaboration, and community engagement.
