We’re currently supporting Amey Plc on essential repair works for the M8 Woodside Viaduct, a critical piece of infrastructure located in the heart of Glasgow.
Murform are delivering a full-package solution across multiple sections of this complex project. Our scope includes the supply of all materials, cranage, groundworks, setting out, saw cutting, localised demolition, road protection mats, and engineering input to the designs. We’ve even helped repair potholes overnight using our roto, a true team effort.
A key part of our contribution is the construction of large pile cap bases (up to 4.4m deep) for several of the 23 piers requiring temporary propping, along with permanent strengthening works, all carried out while managing the challenges of live traffic, a subway interface beneath the site, and surrounding utilities.
Our full-service delivery includes over 300 tonnes of rebar, 3,000m³ of concrete, and 11,000m³ of compacted backfill. We’ve also expanded our services to include trench sheet ground support systems, pile cropping, and concrete repairs.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme has recently awarded the M8 Woodside Project team Gold!
Well done to all involved
